​When it comes to how exactly you’ll labor and birth your baby, you might be considering a water birth. There are several studies that have been done on the potential benefits of water births. Many birthing people have found that giving birth in water is soothing, helps to ease stress and even calm their newborn baby.

POTENTIAL BENEFITS FOR THE BIRTHING PERSON: 

• May reduce the length of labor
• Provides significant pain relief
  
• Warm water is soothing and promotes relaxation, which reduces stress hormones
  
• Enables the birthing person to assume any position which is comfortable for labor and birth
  
• Conserves energy during the later stages of labor

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Please check with your care provider about how they feel about water births and water immersion for labor before renting a tub. My fee for Birth Tub Rental is $250 with a $50 deposit (deposit is for damages or late return and is refunded after inspection of birth tub.)
