As a proud Black Queer Mother who did not benefit from having adequate support and advocacy prenatally, while giving birth and during the postpartum period when she had her children, Kaiayo humbly offers inclusive and compassionate care to all families. Kaiayo defines families as young parents, solo parents, partnered parents, and adoptive or foster parents. She specializes in serving families that are BIPOC and LGBTQIA. If cost is an issue for you, there may be other resources that Kaiayo can refer you to. At this time, Kindred Soul only supports clients that reside in Oakland and surrounding cities.
​Prenatal & Postpartum Consultation  
$150 per session
(50% deposit due at contract signing, remaining balance due before first visit)

  • Light Abdominal Massage & Belly Binding for the birth parent
  • Education, instruction & demonstration of Nurturing Touch for Baby’s (infant massage)         
  • Lactation guidance and support with challenges (referrals to lactation consultants if needed)
  • Modeling communication with your baby and understanding their cues
  • Debrief the Birth Experience
  • Down There/Yoni Steam for the birth parent 
  • Herbal Bath & Bone Closing for the birth parent
Birth Doula Services

Labor and Birth Support
$2,200 (50% deposit due at contract signing, remaining balance due at 36 weeks)

  • 3 Prenatal Visits lasting 1-1.5 hours 
  • Continuous support during active labor and birth
  • 1-2 hours of care after birth to support bonding and feeding
  • 3 Postpartum visits to support the healing and transition of the family​

  • Herbal Bath & Bone Closing for the birthing person
Postpartum Doula Services

Family Transition Support
$45 per hour (50% deposit due at contract signing, remaining balance due before the first shift. A min. of 4 hours per shift)

  • 4, 8, 16 or 20 hour packages available to support the transition of the family
  • Feeding Support (formula, chest/breast/body or bottle)
  • Newborn care while parents care for self and the household
  • Provide support around physical and emotional recovery after birth (steam and herbal bath) ​​
  • Education, instruction & demonstration of Nurturing Touch for Baby’s (infant massage)
